LAST WEEK'S ROUNDUP: Last week's trade was delayed until Friday
right after the noon hour with Southern live trade coming in at
129.00-130.00, mostly 130.00, $4.00 higher than the previous
week. Northern dressed trade was at 204.00-205.00, mostly
205.00, $5.00 higher than the previous week's weighted average
DTN MORNING COMMENTS: The country is typically quiet this
morning with packers focusing on the collection of new
showlists. Significant trade volume will likely be delayed
until the second half of the week. Beef cutouts are expected to
be lower with light box movement.
For the week ending February 10, 2018, Imported Beef Passed for
Entry in the U.S. totaled 37,185, 93.23% of the previous week
and 96.31% of the prior 4-week average.
